A-TROUT: Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) belongs to Salmonidae family and is a fresh water fish whose country of origin is the northeast region of the USA and southeast region of Canada. In 1882, it was brought to Europe from North America. It is highly preferred as a meal fish because of its tasty and less bony meat.

 

 

B-SEA BREAM: Sea bream (Sparus aurata) is a Mediterranean fish from Sparidae family, which is consumed since the antic ages. It is a carnivorous fish that can easily eat small shellfish, fish and other animals with its strong chin. Its meat is less bony, hard, white and very tasty. It is preferred as grilled.Furthermore; sea bream have protandric hermafrotizm. In other words, all fish are born as males and sea bream that reach the age of 3-4, turn into females.

 

 

C-SEA BASS: Sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) is a very delicious type of fish from Moronidae family, with a rocket shape body, skin covered with large scales, with gray colored back and silver colored stomach, and a lean meat. It is very tasty as steamed or salted, which is referred to as “salted sea bass”, rather than on a grill.

 

 

D-MEAGRE: Salmon Bass – Meagre ( Argyrosomus Regius) has a long body covered with scales. Its big back fin is spiny, and the other back fin is soft and shiny.  Its head and body are big.Its sideline is neat, and the topside of its body is brown, the sides are bright with golden glares and its stomach is silver colored. Its breast and anus fins have obvious white spots. Its mouth is big and yellow inside. Generally, it is a deep-sea fish. It is carnivorous. It has a high economic value due to the taste of its meat and productivity as well as the plenty of hunting it does. It continues to reproduce from the middle of spring till august, depending on the temperature conditions of the sea.

 

 

E-SHARP SNOUT: (Diplodus Vulgaris) belongs to sparidae family and almost looks like a round disk due to its high back profile and structure that looks flattened from the sides. Its whole body is covered with well-adjusted big scales. Its back fin is hard, long and one-piece and it has spiky thorns on the front side.It is consumed as pan-fried, stewed, steamed, dried and salted.

 

 

F-RED SEA BREAM: (Sparus pagrus) is a type of fish that belongs to sparidae family. Its body is oval, its dorsal fins are high, body is covered with scales, its  back color is dark and sides are light pink, stomach is white, head and fins have slightly pinkish spots. Its overall appearance is pink and it is preferred by those who like grilled fish.

 

 

G-TURBOT: (Psetta maxima) belongs to Scophthalmidae family. It’s a flat fish, whose eyes are placed on the left side of its body and which lies on the sea bottom on its right side.  It is almost completely round and has no scales. Turbot is generally cooked on a pan. Buttons on its skin are cleaned before eating. Besides, although its meat is not very fatty, it is the favorite of some fish lovers.

 

 

H-PORGY: (Dentex dentex) is a type of fish that belongs to Sparidae family. Its body almost elliptical, but the height of its back towards the front side in a slightly humpy way breaks its elliptical shape. Its head is large compared to its body. Its body is covered with well-processed  thick and large scales. It has no scales on its forehead. Its color is yellow, beige and pinkish, gradually turning lighter from its back towards its stomach. It is served as pan-fried, grilled (on a stick, filleted), steamed, kağıt kebab (enveloped in paper), stewed and as pilaki (in oil and vinegar).
